Post Rock Cattle Company is a diversified farming and ranching enterprise located near Barnard in North Central Kansas. Post Rock Cattle Company was founded by Bill and Leland Clark and our families. Upon Bill's passing in 2020 we are transitioning to the next generation with Leland being joined in management and ownership by his son-in-law, Will Johnson, spearheading the farming and agronomy side and Leland's nephew, Kyle Cavalli being instrumental in the seedstock side of the operation. We represent the fifth and sixth generation to make our living from the livestock and land in the area of the state which transitions from the prairies of the Flint Hills to the high plains of western Kansas. Our topsoil is shallow and is underlaid with massive layers of limestone rock that our forefathers cut into post rock. Thus, the area is known as the Post Rock Region, which we named our cattle operation after.
